Hyrule: Total War is a conversion for Medieval 2: Total War. A vast majority of the iconic races from the Zelda universe have been represented as armies that the player can assemble, command, and ultimately use to destroy their enemies. The Hero of Time has chosen to return to the past, a choice that ultimately has ruined the charts of history and sent Hyrule into chaos. Major wars that were already decided have unmade themselves, allowing fallen armies a second chance at these critical events in Hyrule's history. This is where you, the player, comes in. You shall choose how to rewrite the history of Hyrule. Do you stick with the proper path and smite the evil in the land in the name of the Goddesses? Or perhaps you feel that the Hylians have overstayed their welcome as masters of the land and would rather the Gerudo forces of Ganondorf lead Hyrule into a new age leadership? Maybe you feel it's time that the Gorons march from their mountain kingdoms and rebuild their long lost empire, smashing anyone who opposes their will? On the other hand, you might fall in favor of fighting for the Zora Dominion and cleansing the land of imperfect creatures and establishing a new order of purity. Perhaps the forces of nature have won you over, and you would see to it that the Kokiri and beings of the forest rise to power? Or maybe you would act against nature, and infest and consume all life as the infestation of Gohma... There are many races to choose from, and many possible outcomes to your actions. Hyrule's fate is now in your hands. Will you lead it to a golden age of peace, or dominate it in your name?

Installation:
- Simply run the installer. The default directory might not match yours though, so be sure to install the game in a mod folder if it's not.
- If you are using the Steam version of Medieval 2: Kingdoms, be sure to download this or the mod will not start up properly: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=410461
What's included in this version:
- Sixteen playable factions: The Kingdom of Hyrule, Gerudo, Gorons, Zora, Kokiri, Gohma, Ordona Province, Lanayru Province, Deku Tribes, Stalfos, Moblins, Sheikah, Darknut Legion, Lizalfos, Labrynna Regime, and the Fairies of Tarm
- Custom Battle, Multiplayer, and Quick Battle support
What's not included in this version:
- No campaign.
- No custom voiceovers or sound effects yet. (Voices are disabled for now)
New Features/Fixes since last version:
- Added the Fairies of Tarm as a playable faction
- Added the Intro Cinematic
- New Main Menu background animation
- New interface sound effects
- Added "Approaching Storm" to the game's soundtrack.
Known Bugs:
- Flags for Ordona Province and the Deku Tribes are bugged. Will be fixed in the next version.
- Selecting either the Campaign or Quick Battle option before Custom Battles will cause the game to crash if you select Custom Battle after selecting them.
- Wallmaster and Floormaster animations are bugged.
- Victim death animations against Deku Scrubs and Ordon Goats is bugged, skeletons may warp drastically during sequence.
- Siege Battles are still buggy and unstable. Play these at your own risk.
- Ordona Hawks, Aeralfos, and Fairies will not fly over walls/structures in siege battles.
- Sapphire Warden's Blue Fire attack has red fire tips. Will be fixed in a future patch.
- Setting rupees to max in custom battles allows duplicate heroes to be selected.
