Is there a quicker way to rip DVDs?

I spend an hour and a half ripping Coraline just to find out I ripped the 3D copy by mistake, so now I gotta sit and rip it all over again.

I connect to my neighbors internet (poorly), so don't suggest piracy, because it isn't an option.

Tried DVD shrink or DVD decrypter or something? Shouldn't take half an hour, probably happened because it was the 3D version.

DVD Decrypter and DVD fab for windows and MactheRipper for mac are the rippers I use.

To burn the ts folders I use DVD shrink.

DivX works like a charm. I burn most dvds in less than 5 minutes. The only ones that take a long time are .AVI

divx is compressed and shitty. I rip the whole dvd, use dvd shrink to pick what i want to include and then burn the full movie. Typically i do a reauthoring with dvd shrink: I remove everything except the actual movie. Fuck menus. I put the dvd in and it plays. That's all I need.

How fast you burn dvds depends on your burner's speed and nothing else. I don't like burning faster than 8x because errors are much more likely at high speeds. At 8x I get no coasters.
