I think everybody, even members should have to do a recaptcha every time they make a post anywhere. This will curtail the mindless homophobia and trolling that run rampant on this website.

Good idea, but we have to restrict their privileges otherwise no-one will sign up. Maybe a character limit, captcha thing is a good idea, the inability to post images or change font, no access to porn forum, etc.
^I will hand you the details when I come back from work. I am bit extended atm. So, it would really help if you guys propose some design changes for the CMS and etc bits.
I don't think it does, It encourages ne posts. Especially for BI, BLTC, BB; some person comes and asks a question, if they like it here they'll register.
A question requires a ne thread though, so I'd give them that option.

Maybe before they submit the post, they have to agree to certain terms, like if they want to troll, they have to register an account or else they will be ip banned from guest posting

Good idea, these terms and conditions would be great.
^that, if it gets out of hand I will just add moderation in it. . I just want to see what happens. Lets give it 24 hours. We have enough mods here to handle this.
Not only can we potentially shrink the contribution barrier for new users (through things like stumbleupon) but as we are a close knit community, the anon accounts can be used to post embarrassing content.
perhaps we should make it clearer than "no registration is required to post"
Two things i just noticed:
Guests can post pictures and I don't see a "ban" button for them. Guests should be restricted to text and nothing else if we want to make them sign up (plus they could spam the shit out of us with pictures if they wanted to). Also if guest spamming occurs we need to be able to ban these little fuckers if a global mod or an admin isn't online.
Lol exactly why i was flamming berries in that one thread, people can trollz uz , sorry berries.
Yes indeedy, why must we discover all of these problems while Dfg is asleep Oh well, i'm sure there won't be any problems for the next 7 or 8 hours until he awakes.

There's always a mod online, I'm sure they could handle the IP bans.
That and as long as it is captcha.
lol faggot
"Are you straight (be honest)?"
It works, capcha is a bitch imo. This is a big risk if someone decides to CP us. But it's HB so it's a good place for some testing and lulz.
All the "fringe" forums. HB is just like /b/.
Also, could you make unregistered say "anonymous"?
anonymous IS /B/!
I am just testing this atm. I will slowly implement it other test forums. This does take away any potential users .

Dude, we got to get a you a keyboard ahhaha.
[sorry ]
We can prevent that easily. Plus, it's hard to bitch and moan here . Hey, it might give you few newbies to play with.
If it were not for the CAPTCHA, I would leave my account and become a guest.
Good idea, these terms and conditions would be great.
No, I think that all guests should be left with the generic title of "unregistered".
Mods have fun.
Sweet. Now my rants against capitalism can be responded to by the masses:hai:
<dfg btw>
Oh dear...
I didn't vote.
15/2
Don't worry I am not fool enough to keep this up. Consider this a test to see if it really works.
Why don't you STFU?
<dfg btw>
That wasn't me. Fuck that could backfire lol.
Don't listen to him!
I am the real Dfg! *proof below*

No worries, I knew it was you. We need to get it working as cleanly as possible.
