First it started with Googles failed attempt to add a background image to their search engine to make it more "visually appealing", and now Google is doing the one thing I hated about Bing.
Snip-it:
Designed to "make it easy to look at more images at once," the new interface uses a tiled layout that eliminates all that white space that turned up on the old version of Google Images. It displays up to 1000 images on a single scrollable page.

Basically Google wants to do image searching the Bing way where it's an endless barrage of images that take forever to load and only load as you scroll down. I can't stand this about Bing, overall I find it pretty good at searching, but the image search is horrible! Now Google wants to smoosh images together meaning there is no slip up in scrolling without the fear of clicking an image (another Bing fail) and an endless scroll of images.
God....Google is going backwards and it's driving me nuts. They are just giving away their market to Bing by doing this. If Google/Bing had an option to revert back to the OLD WAY (now) of 20 images per page (or gives you an option) than I wouldn't mind, but this is unneccessarily absurd!

'More Search Tools' and all that nonsense. WDF? What happened to the plain interface from'98?
Atleast Google's smart enough to please their customers. They knew they weren't going nowhere with the background image so they disabled it, hopefully they'll listen to us this time.
Fuck the sidebar.
Here's a grease monkey script i wrote to get rid of it.
Oh believe me, if you don't have the option to go back to the original way you will soon understand the annoyance it will bring. Back when I did a one month test using nothing but Bing search to test it out the one thing that drove me nuts was the endless image layout and how I had to use my mouse wheel to scroll down because if I clicked anywhere on the page to activate the scroll bar it almost always hit a picture.
When you are forced with it everyday it no longer becomes "Cool" as I though it was originally with Bing, but more frustrating.
I use my scroll wheel anyway. You're stuck in the past.
And wtf is Bing?
Made by ex-Google employees.
The loading isn't a problem for me, it's the annoyance of no more white spaces. How are you supposed to tell which pictures are landscaped or portrait??
Google was best when it was only a simple search bar.
They've got it here now too. I agree it fucking blows. It doesn't tell you the size of the images or where they are hosted.
I don't want a 64x120 image hosted at photobucket!
Seriously, you don't get the size of the image? That's bullshit man, it's what you look for when searching images. You ALWAYS want a good quality, good sized image.
Rage.
Notice there's no sidebar...
It's not even in Google's blog. lol.
lol same thing they did when they tried to copy Bing's front page. Google is just failing all over the place in the online realm this year. Copying Bing with under 6% total market share in search? What were they thinking!?!
I never had to deal with it, but I tried Google.ca about a week ago, and while it was better than Bing's by a long shot it was still horrible. For some reason Google.com never showed it over here for me.
I just tried its also got the gay ass image search now.
My phone(android) still uses the old google images format. UGH!
